Mission and Objectives

The Institute is devoted to advanced research and training in all areas of Mathematics. Its main aims are the following:

1. To foster and support research in Mathematics through the organization of scientific activities, including advanced courses, conferences, workshops and seminars.
2. To promote interdisciplinary work among researchers from different fields.

The main specialties at IMUB are Algebraic Geometry, Analysis, Commutative Algebra, Computer Science, Differential Geometry, Dynamical Systems, Mathematical Logic, Number Theory, Statistics, Stochastic Calculus, and Topology.
